Hotel : The hotel itself was clean, with a modern, funky appeal. Elevators were new and worked well. Lots of tourist information in the lounge/breakfast area, and a self-service aspect to the entire establishment Location : Easy to find, it was very close to Hilton (a minute's walk), which made it easy for bus stops and excursion pickups. Reception : There was no reception, just a self check-in and check-out system, which made it quite easy to access our rooms quickly. Room : Basic and smaller than expected, but quite clean. Bathroom had a lovely shower, with nice, hot water. Hair dryer available, which I was grateful for. Breakfast : Buffet-style continental breakfast, with a variety of bread rolls, meats, cheese, fruit and salad, and free (unlimited) hot drinks from the drinks machine. Common Area : The common area, which also is the breakfast room, was a nice touch. Guests can heat their dinners in a microwave, if they wished. Plates/cutlery provided for use. And unlimited coffee/tea drinks after a long, tired day. Laundry Room : It was a pleasant surprise to find that the hotel had a laundry room where the guests can wash their clothes free of charge. Laundry soap was provided and this room also contained spare towels, toilet roll etc. Ironing facilities available too.

It's a "self service hotel" - which means you let yourself in with a PIN-code, get the card to your room from a box, find supplies (like extra pillows, towels, toilet paper) in a laundry room where you can even do laundry if necessary. Sounds odd? No it's really relaxed and gives you maximum autonomy. Our room was modern and well equipped (even with a fridge for food and USB-sockets next to the bed which made loading your devices easy) and the bathroom had a great shower. The blackout curtains did what they were meant to do, too - important around midsommer, as the sun is out almost all day and night. Additionally you can get yourself coffee from a machine round the clock (free of charge) and there is a lounge area where you can sit and eat your own stuff or read (like in a livingroom). The lounge area is where breakfast is served as well, which was very good with quite some choices (sweet and savoury as well as several kinds of bread), so we started the day with energy. Breakfast was the only time we saw staff from the hotel.

This is a lovely hotel. Just outside of the centre, about a 20 min walk. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and will try and help wherever they can. The breakfast was good. The chocolate croissants were absolutely amazing. The rooms are a good size and very clean. They have a fridge and a hair dryer but no tea and coffee facilities. Having said that, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are available 24/7 and free of charge in the breakfast room. They also have a microwave so that you can heat food. They have a laundry room on the second floor, which was helpful on our last night. We went to the blue lagoon and managed to dry our clothes before packing them away. They also have a phone you could use, free of charge to make local calls. We were picked and dropped from our hotel by the tourist companies that we booked our trips with.

I am a Travel Agent This was one of my favorite hotels. The staff were al so very nice. Phillips was the greatest help my first day. He guided me and watched out for me and my friend when needed help! Sonja at Breakfast was a real love. She works her tail off ad still found time to help us out wit some travel questions etc. The Room was wonderful, I am in a wheelchair it was perfect ! GREAT Location!! Only things that would be nice to have in the room, wash cloths, Crime rinse in shower and body wash. Hand soap at the sink it said shampoo. really my friend was all about that. I thought it was great. Me, a List of close places to eat. and beer places to buy, and a close grocery store.. JUST FOR HELPFUL TIPS. Loved all the cute sayings on the walls and steps so fun!

The hotel is an excellent choice for Reykjavik. All tour operators offer pick-ups from Muli or from Hilton Nordica that is like 3 min walk from Muli. The room was very spacious and very clean. We had all that we needed. The bathroom was also very big. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast is very good and served from 7a.m. till 11 a.m. (even a bit earlier). The two coffee machines are available to all guests all the time free of charge. There are cutlery, plates, bowls and microwave in the breakfast room that are available for use all day free of charge. The check in and check out process were extremely easy. If we are to return to Reykjavik, we will book with Muli again.
